The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have plenty of prominent supporters when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He basically advised me to play and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."
While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in AJGA listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a superior individual. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly with youth audiences.
The social media influencer has substantial online presence and just introduced her own apparel and wellness brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
