FC Barcelona to Host First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
