The families of teenagers missing after a deadly blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and requesting clues about their children publicly.

The inferno ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video reveal the roof structure being engulfed in flames as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and hurt another 119. Officials said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to identify the other six.

In the meantime, families and friends have been posting on social media to request clues about their loved ones who were at the bar that evening.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The who lives of Lutry near Lausanne, told a publication that she had returned to the city to see if he was in the hospital, while his father did the same in Bern, but could not find him.

"It feels like a terrible dream, a horror. The options are finding my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in critical condition. Words cannot describe it," she told the paper.

She added that some of his peers had been found with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "It's unspeakable; they endured a terrifying ordeal."

The Italy's government has indicated that a number of of its young people remain missing.

Among them is Emanuele Galeppini, a teenage promising athlete, originally from Genoa but now living in the UAE.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is deceased, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "young athlete who carried with him passion and authentic values."

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An official spokesperson has clarified that a official announcement of his death is awaited.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also among the missing. His parent said that he had been on holiday but had gone out with a group and ended up at the bar.

"A companion said they escaped after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers said, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, combined with great responsibility. Often ask if get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has shared an appeal online, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Consular authorities from her other nation say they are actively engaged with the developments.
